- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this into the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
