  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this into the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in the oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
