  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup strawberry jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions using water, oil, and eggs.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  4. Bake as directed, then let it cool.
  5. Once cooled, poke holes all over the cake with a fork.
  6. In a separate bowl, dissolve the jello in boiling water.
  7. Pour the jello mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  9. Before serving, top with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a vanilla pudding layer under the whipped cream.
