- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 12 ounces broken lasagna noodles
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, onion, and garlic, and sauté until the beef is browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, oregano, and basil. Bring to a boil.
- Add broken lasagna noodles and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat and stir in ricotta cheese until melted and creamy.
