- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 medium apple, grated
- 1 medium carrot, grated
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg and milk until combined.
- Stir in the grated apple, carrot, and maple syrup into the wet mixture.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Do not overmix.

- Cook the turkey bacon in a separate skillet until crispy.
