Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken.
  3. Add the carrots, celery, onion, peas, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Before serving, shred the chicken and stir in the biscuit pieces.
  6. Cook on high for an additional 30 minutes until the biscuits are cooked through.
