Creamy Baked Mac and Cheese Casserole

A delicious and creamy mac and cheese casserole featuring turkey bacon.

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and stir in flour to create a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
  6. Combine macaroni, cheese sauce, turkey bacon, salt, pepper, and paprika in a baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding breadcrumbs on top before baking.
