Chinese Beef and Broccoli

This easy Chinese Beef and Broccoli recipe adds a flavorful twist to a classic dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef sirloin thinly across the grain.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  3. Add the beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned.
  6. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes.
  7. Stir in water and simmer until the broccoli is tender.
  8. Serve hot with rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • Make sure not to overcook the broccoli to maintain its crunch.
