Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and peppermint extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
  6. Let cool before frosting.
